THE LEONA-LANCHE CONTINUES - here is a VERY GOOD REMIX of 'Collide'

For a surprisingly small amount of money my dancers will totally get with you
Faint of heart, be warned:  Due to our unbridled excitement this article contains a high density of THINGS WRITTEN IN CAPITAL LETTERS.

Before the weekend started and everyone went to go see Harry Potter, Leona Lewis put out a song.  It was a very good song and we were instantly obsessed with it as evinced by our utter carpetbombing of Facebook with posts like "ACTUALLY AMAZING" and "THE NEW LEONA LEWIS IS PHENOMBALLZ," etc.

But now something even better has happened.  It is the Afrojack remix of the ACTUALLY AMAZING AND PHENOMBALLZ LEONA LEWIS SONG.  And it is incredible.  It is the kind of remix that makes everyone in "the club" throw their beglittered hands in the air, scream at the top of their lungs, dance suggestively and then make a series of questionable life choices.  In short, it is an ideal club track and we ABSOLUTELY APPROVE.

IT'S POPPERS-O'CLOCK: THIS IS THE NEW LEONA LEWIS AND IT IS AMAZING

"I don't bleed love anymore, I bleed AMAZING DANCE TUNES"
EVERYONE STOP EVERYTHING RIGHT NOW.

Leona Lewis has done a PROPER DANCE SONG and it works terrifyingly well.  It is called 'Collide' and it has a sort of classic-but-completely-new vibe to it.  There are no insane frills (Gaga) or overblown singing runs for no reason (Xtina).  It's just a brilliant tune through and through that doesn't pull any punches or pretend it's something it's not.  There's an almost tribal backing vocal sound that gives the track an organic, warm vibe, and the production is smooth but not overwraught.  It's essentially what an UNPRETENTIOUS POP DIVA SMASH should sound like and in short it is AMAZING.

Leona's one of those people we didn't really realize we missed, but goddamn, Miss Lewis.  Welcome the f back.

Jennifer Hudson and Leona Lewis duet for Sex and The City II - listen first here!

We love Leona Lewis.  We love Jennifer Hudson.  We love Leona Lewis and Jennifer Hudson.  We also love their new song.  Their new song TOGETHER.

This slow jam is in aid of the Sex And The City II movie that comes out in a matter of days, and although it isn't terribly "AIRPLAY RECORD BREAKING CHART TOPPER" it is still very very good.  What do you think, dear readers?

The soundtrack is out May 25.

Leona Lewis' TERRIFYING makeup says 'I Got You' in new video - watch now

In honor of Valentine's Day, here is a Leona Lewis song.  Like other Leona Lewis songs, it has a soft verse and then a BIG CHORUS.  Like other Leona Lewis songs it is about LOVE.  Like other Leona Lewis songs, the video for it is DRAMATIC.

"Expected."

Leona Lewis says 'I See You' in new video - watch now, with clips from Avatar!

We here at ScopiSat really don't care as much as we should about Avatar.  Apparently it is THE MOST AMAZING THING THAT HAS EVER HAPPENED but something about the trailers leaves us cold.   Ah well, at least we have the soundtrack to keep us warm.  See exhibit A, the Leona Lewis theme a la 'My Heart Will Go On' but with a video that features people that are blue because they are aliens, not because they are suffering hypothermia in northern Atlantic waters.

Leona Lewis is 'Happy' at the MTV EMAs (video)

It should be illegal for someone to be this beautiful and talented.

But what are we all thinking of Gothic Leona? It's a bit like when Christina Aguilera went goth, except that this actually works. And does anyone notice the blatant 'Wicked' rip off during the breakdown?

Lets all listen to the new Leona Lewis album sampler (clips)

So everyone is expecting the Leona Lewis album to be quite good.  The only question seems to be where on the 'amazing scale' the project will end up.  As we've already discussed in a post that we're too busy to find and link to, the cover photo starts things off in fine fashion.  Lead single 'Happy' kept the momentum, and now we can sample all the tracks and begin to compose what people have started calling an 'informed opinion.'

'Echo' is out Nov 16/17 depending on your country's release date, on Syco/J Records/Sony

Leona Lewis isn't "Happy" in her new video

When she's not getting punched in the face, Leona Lewis is busy making music videos like this one.  In it she meets a man and then loves a man and then loses a man and all she wants is to be HAPPY.

Out now in the US on J Records, and out Nov 9 in the UK on Syco

Leona's new album cover is quite nice, yes? (pic)

Yes.

EDIT:  lets have a look at how this is all panning out in the real world:

Leona Lewis chucks out another song that sounds exactly like all the other songs she's chucked out

Just because it's brilliant doesn't mean we won't revolt if you keep giving us the same exact song over and over again.  Man up and put a donk on it.

Listen to Leona Lewis' leaked new single 'Happy'

And it is very very good. Let us say that again. It is not bad. It is not average. It is not good. It is VERY VERY GOOD. It's like her people realized her cover of 'Run' was the best thing that ever happened to pop and then had Ryan Tedder write her another 'Run' that is better because it has never been done by Snow Patrol but worse because it is not ACTUALLY 'Run.' Essentially it is just what a 'second album lead single' from Leona Lewis should sound like.

Out Sept 15 on J Records
